Congratulations Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times

December 26, 2014

Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times has been selected by the Children’s Oncology Camp Association International, COCAI, as one of 17 “elite” camps in the United States, Canada and Europe, for its work with oncology campers. Camp received the COCAI “Gold Ribbon Camp” award for meeting “Oncology Best Practices” in the areas of camp administration, staffing, healthcare, psychosocial support and program activities.
Barco’s Nightingales Foundation extends sincere congratulations to Camp for its COCAI award.
When a child is diagnosed with cancer, the entire family is affected. That is why the programs at Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times are for the whole family – mom, dad, brothers and sisters. Camp is the great equalizer – a place where all the kids can become kids again. Campers fighting cancer are on equal footing with their peers and siblings at camp and find it a place where they can share and give each other strength.
The camp experiences the children and their families have at Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times, form memories that will last a lifetime.  Frida and I are continually inspired by the courage and enthusiasm we witness when we visit Camp Ronald McDonald. We are grateful for the dedicated staff, medical teams and volunteers who help each camper rediscover their enthusiasm and love for adventure
We are proud to support Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times by sponsoring camperships, and we salute the exceptional staff on their well-earned award. Congratulations!
